I read, I laughed, I howled. My sister wondered if she needed to have me committed. Then she read, laughed and howled with me. This Lilo and Stitch crossover is probably among the funniest thing I've ever read.

Stitch peered out from under a leather sofa and made a soft noise of disgust as the egg man took his spoon. Eggs were supposed to crack when hit with a spoon. This egg hadn't cracked, it had just done a funny dance and yelled a lot.

Maybe he hadn't hit it hard enough.

He slipped out of the room while the man was occupied with the spoon, and went hunting for a shovel.

A lovely future fic. Years after a nasty break up, Clark and Lex slowly get closer again. I just adore the OC Franny in this one. And the flashbacks of what went wrong is very nicely done.

 Each time he laid down to rest, he felt the lack of Lex's weight on the mattress beside him. It had been years, he reminded himself, years, and yet he still expected to find a warm body when he rolled over.

A rich and vibrant AU CLex in ancient Egypt.  Very well done. I'm no expert on ancient Egypt, but this story felt so *real*. And at the same time, the Smallville characters keep what makes them who they are.

Lay Me Down

Clark kept saying things like "Finally" and "What took us so long?" and "Why were we such idiots?" and Lex had smiled every time because Clark was right: They were idiots for waiting so long.

Lex thinks back. I love this one, not just because it's a hot, good future fic, but because there's such a sweetness through the whole thing that it made me go "Aw..." the whole time I read it.

Maybe We Should Just Go Home

On the first day, Lex had payed tribute to every stranded-on-an-island cartoon that he had ever seen and wrote "HELP" in large letters on the beach. Out of boredom, over the next couple of days he also wrote it out in French, German, Spanish, Italian and Latin. On the fourth day he added "I'M RICH!"

Lex is stranded on a desert island. Will Clark save him? I think this is my favorite post-Exodus fic. It's just wonderful.

Chloe knew she was supposed to be doing something, but her imagination only extended to yanking Clark's shirt over his head and...good God, how many miles of skin did the boy have?

Exactly what the title says. Five ways Clark Kent could've gotten laid. ;) The Lana and Chloe ones are clumsy and adorable, but I like the CLex one best.

This one has it's funny moments, like:

"Hey, Clark, did you ever build weird snowmen outside like in Calvin and Hobbes?"

Their eyes met, twin smiles appearing simultaneously. Had the cookie dough been sentient and possessing any sense of self-preservation, it would have quaked in fear. As it was, twenty minutes later they were pulling two trays of the most disturbing snowmen cookies on the face of the planet out of the oven.

But what I like the most is the glimpses of Lex' past, and the future he has with Clark.  And how could I not rec a story that mentions Calvin and Hobbes? ;)

I love Baby Clark and Pete. This is such a sweet little story.

"They're not girl's toys," said Clark, frowning. Pete was so stupid. Mama said that Clark's toys showed he was well rounded and had layers. He didn't know what that meant. He had stood in front of the bathroom mirror on a stool for ages looking, but he didn't look round at all. He was shaped like a boy. And he didn't know what layers was, but he didn't think he had that either. Mama was never wrong, though. It was very confusing.

Clark looked back at him from where he was slowly working the fly on his pants. "Because this is supposed to," disappointingly, he left off on the fly and went to the bedside table to look at his manual, "enflame your desires."
"Enflame my desires?" Lex raised an eyebrow and his lips twisted in amusement as he repeated Clark's statement.
Not meeting his eyes, Clark ruffled through the sheet of paper again. "That's what this says. That '... a slow striptease will enflame your partner's desires, heightening the sexual experience'," Clark quoted.
Lex blinked. "What's the source?"
Clark mumbled something.
"Clark?"
"Cosmo," Clark finally enunciated before quickly returning to his fly, stripping off the pants.

You reap what you sow... This is scary and creepy, and I can see it happen if the Kent's continue to treat Lex as they have.

Lurking beneath the survival instinct raising its head was a more personal, perhaps petty, but definitely human hurt. Lex had been blamed for things he hadn't done, punished for others' past mistakes, given no credit for that which he had offered and given no quarter for any mistakes he'd made. He'd swallowed his pride, accepted treatment he would never have believed he would accept just a few years before, and compromised his own need for truth to protect Clark Kent's lies.

And not once had any of the Kents said 'thank you'. For anything.

Even when Lex killed to save their lives.

This gives me the shivers, but in a good way, because it's a good story. Dark and sad, but good.

"Why do you say that?"

"Because. I mean, we're polar opposites, but at the same time...I feel like you know me. The inside me."

The end is so good it makes me shiver.

"Lucas, dear, the other unplanned things that have happened to him were the meteor strike and Lex's coma, Lillian's illness and death, and the tornado which left him blind. Not, shall we say, an unalloyed endorsement."

I love this fic. It's full of strange relatives, fanatic football fans, and a rabid federal agent.

It's tax season, and Lex loves it. LOL! This is the most fun I've ever had with a tax related subject...

There used to be a tax attorney. Fleets of them, really. That was Before. Before Lex realized that tax laws, like other kinds of laws, were just too much fun to leave unbroken and unbowed.

"Did you know with the new changes in tax code, I can get a tax break for housing a superhero? Though that would make the Fortress your non-primary residence...." Lex picks up the eraser half of the broken pencil, sliding it between his teeth, obviously trying to work out which way the most money will be saved. Lex has tax law memorized. Clark thinks, in some awe, that the reason it's so complex these days is simply to keep up with Lex.

"What are you wearing?" Lex asked with ill-concealed horror.

Clark looked down at the designer black jeans, black cashmere sweater and black wool overcoat. "This was the best I found for farm work," he said, mildly defensive. "You didn't exactly leave me a guide to your four walk-in closets worth of clothes, you know. And, hey, what are you wearing?"

"I found it in your bottom drawer. You don't like it?" Sure, the faded red T-shirt was tight. As a matter of fact, one might legitimately say that the shirt went beyond hugging Clark's body to actively sucking on it.

"This is the best part, you can't do this if you just buy cookies," Martha told him, holding up the sticky spatula after four neat rows of four had been tucked into the oven at just the right temperature. When he reached for a spoon, she caught his wrist with a gentle touch he scrutinized. Whatever had made him this skittish colt didn't matter, Martha didn't want to break him- just tame him a little.

This has Clex, but it's a friendship piece about Clark and Pete. It's good, adorable and speaks so true to me. Because Pete is Clarks best and oldest friend. And he knows that Clark is strange from the start, but he doesn't mind.  I wish I had a friend like this Pete. I can't recommend this enough. I adore it. From the first sentence to the last.

When Pete met Clark, Clark was eating his mother's daffodils. Pete was only three at the time, so he didn't know they were daffodils, but he did know that they tasted bad, and that Clark was gonna be in really big trouble.

See what I mean? And...

When they started kindergarten, it was cool to already have a best friend. The other kids didn't like Clark much, because he didn't like to play, and wouldn't touch anything unless Pete told him it was okay. The other kids said Clark was weird. Pete took him outside and fed him flowers until Clark smiled again.

Sigh.

But there's something that gives me joy in reading happily ever after fic's in this fandom since we all know how badly Clark's and Lex' relationship in cannon has to end.
